There
are many worries in life that now seem irrelevant or minor in
comparison to the events that unfolded on boxing day 2004. Civilizations,
lives and livelihoods were washed away and erased, leaving millions
more disbanded and orphaned. Media pictures that followed showed
a mere glimpse of the devastation of the Tsunami, which has
also had a great impact in the world uniting to provide immediate
relief to those in need.
Media
have also reported on the scum trying to cash in on the monetary
relief, by sending dodgy emails. Ram Racing has also been subjected
to these and would like to reiterate the message in response
to these.
If
you want to help, the recommendations are

Already it’s the end
of the year, and Christmas is upon us all once again. We’ve enjoyed another
fantastic and exciting year of Moto X, and can’t wait to get our teeth into
2005. We hope you’ve enjoyed our Race news through the year. Soul has really
started to gel with his Suzuki and is really looking forward to upping his game
for the new season.
We’d also like to
take this time to thank everyone that’s helped us get through this incredible
year, and it really is with your support, that this has been possible. So, in
NO particular order:-
All of the H&D committee for the
racing and support this year, and a massive shout for all of Louise’s efforts!!
Andy & Lisa, and all the medics for attending to Soul, (and everyone else)
when he launches himself off his bike.
All of the other Mums & Dads for picking Soul up after a crash or out of
the mud.
Pete Arnold,
for his help with keeping the vehicles
in working order.
Again, South West Ambulance Services for their help in kick starting Souls
year.
Crescent Suzuki for being totally brilliant.
Insignia Signs and their A1 Service and Graphics.
Dunlop for the best tyres in the world (in our opinion)
EBC4u for the stopping power; supplied
and shipped in no time at all.
Lotus press for their genius with printing and stationary.
Adwear Online, who from experience produce great team clothing and work wear.
Bel-Ray for their support with keeping Souls engine running brilliantly.
And last but not least – Souls Mom for putting
up with all of us and Souls racing. We'd also like to thank everyone that’s come to watch and
support us through our quest, and a big thank you for all of the e-mails we receive
each month. Please keep them coming, we do try to respond as soon as we can,
even to those of you in America and Australia.
On a final note for 2004, we’ve had a great year, and
would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a totally wicked New
Year!!!
See you next year!

FINAL RACE CANCELLED
Due to a continued bout
of dodgy weather, and after already rearranging the venue for race day, the
HDYMC were forced to cancel their final race day of the year. Thankfully
this was a Non-Championship event, so there was no loss of points,
although it was a shame for the loss of track time.
This brings a
conclusion, to the end of another brilliant and exciting year
of racing at HDYMC. Keep an eye out for the Season Review coming
soon, and we'll also have plenty more of the latest Suzuki news.

It's been a busy summer for us here at Ram racing,
with new arrivals of kin, Birthdays, Christenings,
vehicle breakdowns, food poisoning, computer
malfunctions, zero budget, racing to fund and a
rider to nurture, but we still found time out to
have some fun.
We caught up with a couple of hero's along the
way, one of which was at the Crescent Suzuki
open day, in Verwood. They had it all going on
there, everything from the launch of the Crescent
Suzuki Playstation 2 game, dyno shoot-outs,
Ohlins suspension set-up, to mega deals on bikes
clothing and accessories, and also in attendance a
rather busy overwhelmed John Reynolds, Yukio
Kagayama, and the baboons arse himself, Paul
Denning. (FB October issue) Joking aside, (sorry
Paul) the Crescent Suzuki Team - The whole team,
are a great bunch of people.

There's one person in particular (other than JR)
that has really overcome and achieved personal
goals this year, and this was also confirmed when
those memories were blasted to shreds with a
fantastic result at Cadwell Park, a year after his
potentially career ending crash at the track.. This
hero is of course Yuki; what a star. Coming back
from a broken pelvis and a list of other and internal
injuries, Yuki has shown the world he's still a
mighty force to be reckoned with. Combined with
the potentially championship winning JR, this could
well be Crescent Suzuki's year.
Donnington Park, 19th September…Don't miss it!

If you're into Speedway, you may well be aware of
another world-class hero, based right here in
Poole, riding for the RIAS Pirates. Again he was
another rider outclassing most other riders and a
regular race winner. So why is it all the good guys
get the bad luck? It's fair to say that after a
terrible backbreaking incident last year, Australian
rider, Ryan Sullivan is lucky to be walking again, let
alone hurling sideways a methanol breathing
monster with no brakes around a dusty old oval
track. Ryan is an incredibly nice guy, and race by
race his luck and confidence is starting to shine
once again, and now that his engines are looking
pretty sorted, watch this space!

Like Yuki, they're both true dedicated sportsman,
and knowing the risks they take in our chosen
sport, they're still brave and talented enough to
come back for more, and not just for themselves,
but also for you - The Fans.

'BREAKING' NEWS
An hour away from home, and only about half a
mile from the Bishopstone track, disaster struck,
and Soul missed his day of racing.

First there was a noise followed by a wobble,
immediately followed by the team van swerving
from side to side across the country village lane.
Followed by the back wheel trying to overtake the
van after it broke free. Nightmare!
Thankfully, the van was
brought safely to halt, but
not in the best of positions
on the road. Had this of
been the case, the van
could have been recovered
later, as the track was still
within walking distance. A
big thanks to all the people
that stopped to make sure
everyone was ok, and the
offers to take Soul up to
the track. Sadly, with the
prognosis not looking to
great, with the van half on
the road with only three
wheels, the only option
was a flatbed recovery,
but that was easier said
than done. |

|
A Big thanks to the village resident for the use of
extra jacks and to the Ashley Wood Recovery guys
for their patience and hard work in spending hours
trying to mount the van onto the flatbed. It still
took another hour to off-load the van at the other
end, and the recovery guy was mobile again by
4pm, and he really was a top bloke. The Big thanks
continue, with Phil for the welding, and a Huge
thanks to Peter Arnold for doing an brilliant job of
putting the van back together again, now
featuring Four wheels, just in time to 'safely' get
Soul to our next 'Two-Day' race at Martinstown.
It was a really big disappointment for Soul that he
missed the racing that day, as he was really fired
up for Bishopstone, but counting our lucky stars,
thank goodness no one was hurt!

! WARNING !
SUZUKI'S ON A MISSION
American Kenny Roberts Jr, had more to celebrate this
past weekend than just Independence day, as the 2000
World Champion set the GP paddock alight, claiming
Suzuki's first pole position of the year, at the extremely
bumpy Jacarepagua Track in Brazil.

© SUZUKI RACING...
Meanwhile back in the UK The Crescent Suzuki British
Superbike boys, JR and Yuki, also gave the rain drenched
fans something to celebrate with a first and second in final
qualifying, before securing two podiums on race day, in
quite frankly appalling weather conditions.

© SUZUKI RACING...
The terrible weather also made it's way over to Sweden for
the MX GP, making track conditions extremely interesting,
but it didn't stop Suzuki rider, Kevin Stribos getting the
hole shot in Race 1, and leading by five seconds to the
flag.

For all of you MOTO GP fans out there, it's soon to be that
time we've all been waiting for. With only a month away for
the official launch of the Moto GP Scalextic. The demand
for the choice of sets is already high, so be sure to get
your orders in quick. You can visit ULTIMATE 32 for more
information.

TESTING TIMES!
In a continuation from last years run of bad luck, and the
ever decreasing funding for the Team, it's had a slight
knock on effect into this season, consequently leading to a
big delay with getting the new bike and the testing
schedule sorted out.
As this year, the aim is to take the pressure off of Soul
during this learning year, he will miss Round 1 on March
7th, in order to give him more time to get used to his new
bigger and faster, Crescent Suzuki RM65 K4. To be fair,
he's not particularly happy about the decision to miss a
race, but agrees with the principle. Hopefully, if everything
decides to go to plan for a change, he will be at Round 2
ready to do what he loves most, and once again riding as
#7.
The Team would like to thank everyone that's been writing
into the website and also our Sponsors and Technical
Partners for their continued help and support.

TEAM UPDATE
As mentioned previously on this site, this Year Soul has
taken the option to move up in to the ever competitive and
geared Junior Class. We're under no illusions about the
task ahead, but we feel it's the right time to move forward.
We've had a good couple of years in the Auto class, with
some up's and downs and a lot of fun along the way. We'd
like to thank IN-CHAINS, of Crow Arch Lane, Ringwood,
01425 474800, for helping us out and giving us a chance to
enable Soul to enter into the world of Moto X, with his
Part-Sponsored HM Baja Motorcycle. Although we will not
be officially flying the In-Chains flag this year, we would
like to still recommend their services. If you can't make it
into the shop, you can also order online by using their
website, alternatively just give them a call, their always
happy to help.
So not being on a Part -Sponsored bike this year we had a
few options, but really there was only one bike to be on.
It's a New Year, and a New Beginnig, and we look forward
to a long-term commitment to this particular brand. Soul is
really looking forward to riding his new Crescent Suzuki
RM65 K4, and we're happy that this will be a good solid
quick and reliable bike, and the perfect tool to get him
started in the Junior Class. Photo's of the new bike will be
available soon, but here click here for the Technical Specs
from Suzuki.

It's official, Souls hard work and determination on
the track with the ability to battle through his
misfortunes, have finally rewarded him with a
fantastic and very much deserved 2nd place overall
in the 2003 Championship. Naturally he's over the
moon - And Some!!! Top honours went to the
consistant Nathan Wakefield, and with Alice Monks
brilliantly in 3rd position.

We would like to again thank everyone that has
been behind us in 2002 & 2003, as it's with your
help that all of this has been possible. We would
also like to thank everyone for their
encouragement including all of you that e-mail us
and visit our little website, for our little man. It has
all really helped Soul with is confidence and
motivation.

We hope to see you out there again this coming
season, where Soul will be going for it again, but
this time he will be moving up to the Junior 65cc
Class.
Until then.....
WELL DONE SOUL
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE TEAM WISHES EVERYONE A HAPPY AND BETTER
NEW YEAR FOR 2004 !
We'll have all the lastest news for you shortly,
we're all working really hard to prepare for 2004,
and we're also working on updating the site with a
few changes here and there.
Soul is really excited about this coming year,
although he knows that it's going to be another
steep learning curve. He's spending quite a bit of
time with his fitness and excercises, and he doesn't
seem to stop eating at the moment, but it is nice to
see him thinking ahead.
Please check back again soon, and Happy New Year
everyone!
