Welcome to another interesting and fantastic year, where there’ll be plenty to smile about. As you can read in the Season Review, we’re heading into a new era, and will be heading off from the world of Moto-X to Minimoto Racing.

There'll be plenty more news to come on that front.
It’s all go and Soul is really pleased and fired up ready to go.

Click Here to see a glimpse of what’s to come. This is a video made by Rider Mark Derbyshire, who rides a rather trick little ZPF. Check him out!

You could be fooled into thinking these are both the BSB Crescent Suzuki’s, although you wouldn’t be far wrong. Paul Denning seems to have carried his magic over to Moto GP, with riders John Hopkins & Chris Vermeulen in new colours with a new sponsor for 2006. Whilst Vermeulan rapidly improves on his new bike and tyres, Hopkins has been consistently improving making the most of his Bridgestones to set some impressive times in pre-season testing, leaving spirits high for the first race of the year

Kicking off on the same day will be the BSB boys Shakey Byrne & James Haydon. Their pre-season testing hasn’t quite gone to plan due to bad weather through most of their test sessions, but the determination in the team is still high, and should make for a great first race of the year at Brands.

Troy Corser starts the year on a high, but still had his ups and downs for Round 2 at Phillip Island. With Troy Bayliss running into tyre troubles in Race 1, this left the door open for Corser to take the win, GP star Alex Barros in 2nd, and our very own James Toseland in 3rd. The downs came in Race 2 where unavoidably Alex Barros clipped the fallen Corser following a high side just after Lukey Heights. The luckless Kagayama and new boy Foret both had another weekend to forget.

At the AMA Superbike opening round in Daytona it was business as usual with Mat Mladin taking a solid win and Ben Spies a close second. Another good showing came from Britain’s own Neil Hodgson. A shout should also go out to Rob Frost for taking a fine result back to the UK from the Daytona 200 race. Jeremy McWilliams was not so fortunate when during a pit stop his bike fell off the front stand, essentially causing damage that ended his day.

Over in the offroad camp, Former 125 cc World Champion Steve Ramon joins Kevin Strijbos to begin their 2006 assault on their works Suzuki RM-Z450’s. Kevin Strijbos first win from Stefan Everts at the British track Hawkstone Park. Steve Ramon came home with a third place in the second race and finished the weekend with sixth in the Final.

It’s looking to be another cracking year ahead in the Suzkui camp, and you can read all the latest news on our Race News page, or simply click here to go straight to Suzuki Racing.
